HOLDEM RESOURCES, A PROGRAM TO GROW UP0 Comments
The ICM is one of the most decisive factors in multi-table tournaments, especially in final tables, when big prizes are played.
It is a mathematical model that allows to know the economic value of the players’ chips, once they are already “in the money”.
Its calculation is so complicated that it’s practically impossible to do it during the game. Therefore, the best way to work it is through the use of specialized programs that allow simulations of situations in which the ICM affects decision making. Holdem Resources is one of these programs and probably the best, along with ICMizer.
HR has a free trial for 14 days, but then you have to pay for its use. It has several plans, depending on the number of months contracted. For example, using the software for one year costs $6.49 per month, for a total of $77.88. The license allows use by a single user on a maximum of 2 computers.
The program is very complete. These are some of its features:
-Allows quick analysis of entire sessions with the intention of troubleshooting.
–Calculates Nash’s ranks in push & fold situations, and also in 3betS and 4betS hands.
–Locate ICM errors using the Future Game Simulation option, which takes into account the following hands (not just the current one).
–Allows you to import hands from the Holdem Manager 2 and Poker Tracker 4 databases.
–Calculates the ICM on multiple tables (f.e. before the final table).
HR works continuously to include new calculation options and to support more online poker rooms. Works seamlessly on Windows, Mac OS and Linux. And it only requires 1GB of RAM and 500MB of disk space.
If you are going to be a professional or semi-professional MTT, Hyper or Spinner, using Holdem Resources will allow you to improve your performance considerably, especially in difficult situations.
Take advantage of the free trial and try it. You won’t regret it.
